User Data Deletion Instructions

Last updated: 11 October 2026

Delete your Get Featured account and data

Email hello@getfeatured.press with the subject line "Data deletion request". Please send it from the email address linked to your account, so we can confirm the request is yours.

We will delete your account and the personal data linked to it, including your profile, applications, waitlist entry and any connected Threads data, within 30 days. We may keep a small amount of information where the law requires it, such as billing records.

You will also be able to delete your account from your account settings once that option is available.

If you connected your Threads account

You can remove Get Featured's access to your Threads account at any time:

  1. Open Threads and go to your profile.
  2. Open Settings, then Account.
  3. Tap Website permissions.
  4. Find Get Featured and tap Remove.
Removing the app stops Get Featured accessing your Threads account. To also delete the data we hold, email hello@getfeatured.press with the subject "Data deletion request". We will delete your stored Threads user ID, username and access token, and any other data linked to your Threads account, within 30 days of your request.

We never store posts from your own Threads account.

If you are a journalist and your public post appears on Get Featured

Get Featured shows public posts in which journalists and media ask for sources, so that suitable experts can respond. If you would like a post removed, or would like us to stop collecting your posts:

  • Email hello@getfeatured.press with the subject "Data deletion request".
  • Include the link to the post (or posts) and your username or handle on the platform it was posted on.
  • Let us know if you would also like us to stop collecting your future posts.

We will remove the post and the data we hold about it within 30 days. If you delete a post on the original platform, it will no longer be available through that platform's API.

Confirmation

Once we have completed your request, we will email you to confirm that your data has been deleted. If we need to keep anything for legal reasons, we will tell you what and why.
